The SUNREI StarRay500-Li Rechargeable LED Headlamp is a compact, high-performance headlamp designed for users who want more than a basic on/off light. With up to 500 lumens, separate focus and flood LEDs, stepless brightness control and hands-free sensor operation, it is well suited to camping, overlanding, fishing, hiking, vehicle repairs, workshop use and general outdoor work.

The StarRay500-Li uses two different white-light systems. The focus light provides a tighter, longer-reaching beam of up to 50 metres, while the floodlight provides a wider beam for close-range work and general area lighting. The two can also be used together in Focus + Flood mode when maximum illumination is required.

Brightness is not limited to a few fixed steps. The lamp features stepless dimming, allowing the output to be adjusted continuously between low and high settings. This makes it easy to select just enough light for the job while extending battery life when maximum output is unnecessary. The lamp flashes twice when the highest or lowest dimming level is reached.

A built-in hand-wave sensor allows the light to be switched on and off without touching the controls. This is particularly useful when your hands are dirty, wet, gloved or occupied. Sensor mode is activated independently and provides convenient hands-free operation.

For preserving night vision or working around a campsite without excessive glare, the StarRay500-Li also provides a 10 lumen red light with up to 16 hours runtime, together with a red strobe mode.

The two white-light systems use different colour temperatures. The focus beam is approximately 5700K, producing a cooler white light, while the floodlight is approximately 4000K, producing a warmer and more comfortable light for close-range work.

Power comes from a built-in 3.7V 2200mAh rechargeable lithium battery. Depending on the selected mode and brightness, runtime ranges from high-output use through to as much as 200 hours on the lowest floodlight setting. Charging takes approximately 4 hours from a 5V / 1A USB power source.

The integrated battery indicator gives a quick visual indication of remaining charge. Green indicates more than approximately 30%, red indicates lower charge, and a flashing red indicator warns when the battery is nearly depleted. During charging the indicator is red, changing to green once the battery is almost fully charged.

At only 95g, the StarRay500-Li remains light enough for extended use while still offering the output and functions normally associated with much larger headlamps.
